JUMBO

JUMBO is the Swiss DIY superstore chain with 40 branches all over Switzerland. Its success story began in 1982, although consumers were already familiar with the name: JUMBO food hypermarkets had been around since the 1970s. They were later sold to Carrefour, but JUMBO had already made a name for itself as a pioneer in Switzerland's retail landscape.

It meant that the new JUMBO DIY superstores soon reported brisk business, becoming the one-stop shopping facility for DIY enthusiasts, amateur gardeners, generally everyone wanting to improve their homes. Jumbo-Markt AG is headquartered in Dietlikon, near Zurich. It is a subsidiary of MAUS Frères Holding, Geneva.
